Venu Nagavally is back after eight years

After eight long years, actor-cum-writer-director Venu Nagavally is back again, wearing the director's cap. The man who had directed memorable films like Sukhamo Devi, Ayiththam, Sarvakalasala, Lal Salaam, Kalippaattam, Aayirappara etc, has another film in the works - Suhruthu, to be produced by Krishnakumar and Biju Shamshuddin under the banner of Mystic Eye.


Scripted by Venu Nagavally's favourite writer and friend Cheriyan Kalpakavadi, the film focuses on relationships within the family and conveys the message: 'Your wife is your best friend'. The film, which started rolling in Thriuvananthapuram recently, has in the cast Mukesh, Urvashi, Padmapriya, Jagathy Sreekumar, Thilakan, Harisri Ashokan, Lissy Jose, Shruthi Lakshmi etc. Lyrics penned by ONV Kurup are set to tune by Alex Paul, while K.P. Nambiathiri does the cinematography, G.Murali the editing and Nemom Pushparaj the art-direction.
