Vijay Yesudas turns actor

Cochin, Mar.16 (NR): Playback singer Vijay Yesudas would be shortly seen in a lead role in a film to be directed by Nandan Kaavil.

The film has been titled 'Avan'. Young actor Bala would also be doing a prominent role in the film.

Vijay Yesudas had made his debut as a singer through the film 'Millennium Stars'. He has sung several hit songs, of which the song 'Kolakkuzhal..' from 'Nivedyam' had won him the State Award for Best Male Playback Singer as well.

Vijay had received acting offers even earlier, but this is the first time the singer has agreed to act in a film.
