Vimala Raman comes to Malayalam

Vimala Raman, former Miss India Australia (2004) and Bharathnatyam dancer, who had made her debut in films with the K. Balachander-directed Tamil film Poi, is now all set to conquer hearts in Kerala too. She enters Malayalam with the Shaji Kailas-directed Time, starring opposite Suresh Gopi. Vimala is also doing the female lead in Pranayakaalam, directed by debutante Uday Ananthan.

Uday, who had been an associate of Shyamaprasad and V.K. Prakash, casts Vimala Raman opposite debutante Ajmal Ameer. It is also heard that Vimala is being considered for director Joshy's next film too. Vimala had reportedly got certain offers from Malayalam earlier, but since she was expecting her career to get a break after Poi, she hadn't cared to accept those offers. But since Poi went the wrong way, she has now decided to try her luck in Malayalam. All the best Vimala!
