Vinu Mohan – continuing a legacy

Young Vinu Mohan is all set to play his part in continuing a great legacy. By donning the lead role in Nivedyam, a film directed by none other than Lohitadas, Vinu Mohan continues the legacy inherited from his illustrious grandfather the Late Kottarakara Sreedharan Nair and also from his parents and his uncle.

While Kottarakara Sreedharan Nair is considered to be one of the most natural and talented actors of all-time in Malayalam Cinema, he left behind the legacy with his daughter Shobha Mohan and his son Saikumar. Saikumar, who is one of the busiest actors in Malayalam today, recently won the State Award for the Second Best actor for his performance in Anandabhairavi. And Shobha Mohan is busy playing all kinds of roles in films as well as on television.

Vinu, who is the son of Shobha Mohan, makes his debut on the big screen with Nivedyam. Vinu's father Mohan Kumar too has been a good actor, concentrating mostly on the stage. Nivedyam, to be produced by Omar Sharif under the banner of Touchwood Creations, features script by Lohitadas, lyrics by Vayalar Sharath Chandra Varma, Kaithapram and Bichchu Thirumala, music by M. Jayachandran and cinematography by Sajan Kalathil. Though earlier a film titled Ajantha was announced with Vinu Mohan in the lead, no news is heard of it and it is most likely that Nivedyam would be his debut.
