We need to have solid stories in films: Rajiv Anchal

Kollam, Sep.2 (NR): Director Rajiv Anchal, whose film 'Pattinte Palazhi' was released two weeks back has said that the dire need of the hour in Malayalam cinema is good, solid stories.


Rajiv was talking at a Meet the Press program organized at the Kollam Press Club.


'It's impossible for us to compete with Bollywood and Hollywood in the technical realms. We should therefore try to leave a mark of our own through touching stories,' he said.


'It would be better if each film targeted different sections of the general population. For instance, my latest film 'Pattinte Palazhi' sees women as its target audience. This is why the film is a huge hit with women,' Rajiv added.


The director said that his next film would tell the story of a tribal boy and a mango tree. This film would feature some very prominent actors in Malayalam. Click the Movie button below for more info:
