'Kandupidi Kandupidi' directed by Ram Subbaraman and produced by Kalkiyuva and Samusivaraj of Movie Bazaar, is slated for release on May 11. New faces Murali and Aiswarya Dev have been introduced in this film. Seeman plays a police officer. The film carries the message that there should be no hindrance to love from any quarters.

In a pre-release chat, director Subbaraman said that in a marriage hall during a wedding celebration, one person dies in mysterious circumstances. A pall of gloom soon envelops the place sending the ecstatic guests into mourning. It is police officer Seeman who clears the air. He takes pains to unravel the mystery surrounding the death.

Barring Seeman, all others cast in the film are new. As the story is set in a marriage hall, more than 150 persons came for the shooting every day. Of them around 100 are villagers from the same place. To make the scenes look realistic, all those acted in the film, including 100 villagers, were brought to Chennai and were made to dub in their own voices, the director said.

Subbaraman is happy that the censors have given the film a ‘U’ certificated without mandating any cuts. Click the Movie button below for more info:
