Annual film awards in memory of Raghuvaran

Awards for best actor and best actress will be presented every year to perpetuate the memory of late actor Raghuvaran.

His actress wife Rohini has made this announcement and said Raghuvaran’s acting skills have endeared him to his legions of fans and he lives in their hearts.

When he was alive, he wrote five songs in English, scored music for them and recorded them in his voice. He tried to release these tracks as an album, but he passed away before he could do this, Rohini said.

Arrangements have been made for the release of the album on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the eminent actor, which falls on May 11.

Annual awards for the best actor and best actress would be instituted in his name and presented every year, Rohini said.

Talking about herself, she said she would soon start directing films.
