Arjun banking on 'Thiruvannamalai'

With the new generation actors taking over Kollywood, most of the senior heroes seem out of the fray or get limited to just one or two releases per year. And it's been a long time since Arjun, known popularly as 'Action King' had made any impact at the box office.

He seemed to have been almost signed off. But no, the 'Action King' is set to make a come back, probably with a bang. His Thiruvannamalai is getting ready for release.

And reports say that Arjun is banking much on this film directed by Perarasu, who has a penchant for naming films after names of place (Sivakasi, Thirupathi and Dharmapuri for instance). The film, produced by K. Balachander's Kavithalaya, has Mumbai girl Sania Vakil in the female lead role, and Karunaas and Saikumar playing key roles. Shot at locations in Thiruvannamalai and Kumbakonam, the film addresses many burning issues of today, and going by Perarasu's track record, it's only natural that Arjun is banking heavily on this film.
