Arya joins Santhosh Sivan's 'Urumi'

Urumi, directed by international repute Santhosh Sivan, has some of the leading names in the industry, Tabu, Vidhya Balan, Genelia, Prithviraj, Prabhu Deva, Nithya Menon, Amala Gupte, Jagathy Sreekumar to name a few. The latest to join the team is Arya, who is currently busy with Bala's 'Avan Ivan'. And this will be his first film in Malayalam. The grapevine is that Arya replaced Vikram, who had earlier promised to do a cameo. But he later pulled out because of date problems and Arya stepped in.


Urumi, is a period- drama sets in the 17th century and it's in the final stages of completion. Adds Arya ,'' Santhosh Sivan is my good friend. Moreover, 'Urumi' is one of the big projects in Indian cinema and it's an honour to be associated with it''. Soon after Arya completes his three day shoot for the movie, he will go back to the sets of 'Avan Ivan' in Theni.
