Audio of 'Kaliyugam' launched

Editor A. Mohan launched the audio of Scratchers Club’s ‘Kaliyugam’ written and directed by Yuvaraj Azhagappan recently. It was received by directors Sasi, Rajesh M, Shantha Kumar and Suseenthiran and music director Sathya.

Siddharth Vipin, Taj Noor and S.N. Arunagiri composed the tunes. Siddharth Vipin, a sound engineer, made his debut as music director in Mohanlal-starrer ‘Kurukshetram’.

Director Yuvaraj Azhagappan has worked as assist to Director Sasi. As the story of ‘Kaliyugam’ is about a youth, he brought on board some talented youngsters. He said he is sure of the success of the film.

The story revolves around a youth who wants to live life on his own terms. The film probes the mental state of the present day youngsters. A youth believes if he makes violence a weapon, he will have a halo round his head. How he is drawn to a wrong path, how he lives life, the emotions of those related to him, the way he confronts society and how society handles him are narrated not as a story but as a pulsating drama.

Vinod, who acted in Nanda, Samasthanam, Kreedom and, Naan Mahan Alla, plays the protagonist in this film. Joining him are Ajay, Prabha, Shankar, Neethi Taylor and ‘Aadukalam’ Narain.

Sahitya Academy award winner S. Venkatesan has written the screenplay. The dialogues are by Mugil. S.R Kadir is the cinematographer. M.S. Jai is the art director.

This is the first film produced by A.V. Vikram for Scratchers Club.
