Bala looking for new faces

Director Bala, a national award winner, is looking for new faces to star in a new flick. He has already roped in late actor Murali's son Atharva. The female lead actress opposite Atharva will also be a new face.

Bala is working on a family theme based on a Malayalam novel, which has been translated into Tamil by author Daniel and is titled Eriyum Thanal. The novel is about a couple with a child and their woes. The director has drawn the inspiration from this novel for his new film. His ambition is to make it an award winner. He has even set his sights on international film festivals.

There is no more talk of Bala casting Vishal and Arya together. Sources suggest that the subject of his new film may be too heavy for any of the commercially-oriented heroes.

Bala, sources say, is keen that the film should merit award and internatioinal recognition.
