Big B in Chennai for IPL inaugural

Amitabh Bachchan is in Chennai ahead of the Indian Premier League (IPL) cricket tournament inaugural late on April 3 evening. He is doing a poetry-reading segment with a host of dancers performing behind him at the show. He has been rehearsing at the venue for the last two days. On April 1 (Sunday), he visited the venue __ YMCA Physical Education Grounds, Nandanam, __late in the night for his first rehearsals and to see the preparations. "All geared up technically __ time for the butterflies in stomach to take flight," he tweeted.


Describing Chennai as his second home, Amitabh said ,"Chennai was almost second home., did so many films here __ gracious, disciplined, humble people."


"Sometimes an environmental change does wonders to the body and mind… in solitude even Greater Chennai doing that for me today!", he added.


One of the highlights of the dazzling show will be a dance programme showcasing Prabhu Deva. Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra and a bevy of Bollywood stars will be there to keep the gathering enthralled.


Meanwhile, Rajinikanth has returned from London after the first schedule of shooting of 'Kochadaiyan' there. It remains to be seen whether he and Big B will have a tete-a-tete either at the venue or elsewhere.
