Director Boopathy Pandian has fallen out with Ramesh T (Wave2 Movies), the producer of ‘Jagan Mohan, IPS’, which has ‘Jayam’ fame Gopichand and Nayanthara in the lead.

Following the development, the makers have decided to replace Boopathy Pandian with two directors. One of them is Sri Vaas who will helm the Telugu version of the film. The new director for the Tamil version is yet to be named.

Gopichand, who is supposed to play a powerful cop role in the bilingual, has earlier worked with director Sri Vaas for ‘Lakshyam’.

‘Jagan Mohan, IPS’, which was touted to be a mass entertainer, was launched with fanfare at the beginning of this year. The project did not take off and it got stuck in the discussion stage for a long time. After making some progress, the project was stalled again because of differences of opinion between Boopathy Pandian and the producer over the script.

According to Boopathy Pandian, the makers kept interfering and insisted on many changes in the script. This caused him mental agony. He decided to opt out when he began to lose confidence in his own script. “I have given them my script. They are changing it. I am no longer associated with the project,” he reported.
