Debutant director introduces seven new faces

Rajeshlingam, a former associate of acclaimed director Selvaraghavan, is making his debut as a director with a new film titled "Pugaipadam".


The story is based on a true life incident that took place during his college days. It is a campus story without romance based a realistic script.


All seven lead characters _ four boys and three girls -- are new faces.


The names of the boys being introduced are given as Amjad of Radio one FM, Sivam, a hip-hop stage singer, Harish, son of editor Ganesh Kumar and Nanda, who has given training in dancing to actor Surya and S.J. Surya.


The new girls Mrinalini, Priya and Yamini are the heroines.


Music director Gangai Amaran scores the numbers for "Pugaipadam". He is staging a comeback after a long gap.


The producer is Manikandan, who is said to be a close friend of Rajeshlingam.
