Double role for Bharath in Koodal Nagar

Even as Bharath-starrer "Veyyil" directed by Vasantha Balan and produced by Shankar and "Chennai Kadal," directed by Vikram and directed by Kalaipuli S. Thanu is set for simultaneous release on Dec.8, shooting has started on the actor's next film "Koodal Nagar"


For the first time, Bharath plays two roles -Suryan (sun) and Chandran (moon) in the new film along with Bhavana and Sandhya.


The story has Madurai as its milieu. Madurai of the Sangam age was the place where Tamil Pulavar Nakkeeran of yore who dared to confront even Lord Shiva and pinpoint an error committed by God during a literary debate. Like Nakkeeran the fiery hero (Bharath) is not afraid to oppose and fight wrongs done by who ever one may be.


The first phase of shooting was completed in Madurai. The second phase has started at Dindugal in a set erected at a cost of Rs. 20 lakh. Later more sequences will be shot in Madurai. Other locations are Karaikudi, Thiruparankundram and Kodaikanal.


While M.S. Prabhu handles the camera, Sabesh-Murali scores the music. Seenu Ramasamy is the director who has written the story, screenplay and dialogue He worked as assistant to directors Balu Mahendra and Seeman.


Senthilkumar and Ganesh of Annamalai Films are the producers.
