Film Producers Council president and FEFSI president resigns

Rama Narayanan who is the president of the Tamil Film Producers Council has resigned from his post. Similarly V C Guganathan who is the president of FEFSI had also resigned. The resignations came in the awake of DMK being knocked out of the power in the recent Assembly polls.


Rama Narayanan while speaking about this said, "I am quitting this post due some personal reason. Apart from this I will be involving in the works connected with my new films. Because of this I will not be able to discharge my duties as President of this council. I am also grateful to all the producers, distributors, theatre owners, actors, actresses and technicians who have been a great support to me'


On his resignation, FEFSI president V C Guganathan said, "For the last two years I have got the Government aid to film technicians. I have done a lot of welfare activities with the help of the Government. But now there is a question that would it be possible for me to discharge my duties properly when the government has changed. Hence I am resigning from this post. I had given my resignation letter to G Shiva, secretary of FEFSI."
