Filmmakers needs to adapt to latest technology: Prabhu Solomon
Mar 28, 2011 PSDirector Prabhu Solomon's previous venture 'Mynaa' might have been a rural outing, but the director admits he loves to adapt to the latest technologies when it comes to filmmaking. Recently, at the anniversary celebration of a city-based college, the director said, ''Everyone has to be an inventor. There's so much to learn in this industry''.
For instance, Prabhu doesn't believe in shooting his films in sets alone. ''Time is fast changing and directors these days want to say much more through their films; not just a simple story. And for that, technology plays an important role. Computer graphics and camera work are more important for a film these days'', he said. Prabhu seems to be so smitten by James Cameron's 'Avatar', that he urged the students to learn to use new cameras like the virtual camera used by Cameron. Meanwhile, he is currently in Wayanad, scouting for locations for his next film.
