Gautham takes up 'Chennaiyil Oru Mazhaikalam'
May 31, 2008 PVSAce director Gautham Vasudev Menon has started the shooting of "Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam" now that Surya-starrer "Varanam Aayiram" has been completed.
Menon took up "Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam" last year but had to put it on hold till the completion of the shooting of "Varanam Aayiram".
"Just like the rainy season love is also a beautiful experience,' he says speaking about story of "Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam". The title denotes the love that blossoms in the film which is set against the IT backdrop and revolves around three girls and four boys.
Trisha is featured in the lead role along with five new faces. She portrays a new generation software engineer. Nethra and Nikitha play the other two girls.
Karthik, brother of actress Maheswari, plays opposite Trisha.
Daniel Balaji portrays the character of a psycho.
A highlight is A.R. Rahman scores the music for the film. This is the first time Gautham is working with Rahman.
Why has he opted for A.R. Rahman for "Chennayil Oru Mazhaikalam" when Harris Jayaraj has always been his favorite music director? "I want a change and also want to experiment,'' is Gautham's answer.
