His last film 'Thambikottai', may not have been a hit, but actor Narain remains unfazed by the outcome. Talking about the film, the actor clarifies,'' Yes, the film did not take off as expected, but I must say it is doing very well in the B and C centers, primarily because it is a movie that is set in a village. By logic, the people there would connect more to it''.

The 'Anjathey' actor admits that although he is doing films in both Tamil and Malayalam, his focus currently in Tamil. Ask him why, and he explains,'' My first Tamil film 'Chithiram Pesudhadi', itself made me quite popular here and I am getting a lot of hero-centric characters. Plus, I believe that you can work in many industries, but you need to have a market in one of them. I am trying to create a market for myself here''. So, does that mean that he is open to doing multiple projects? ''I have always believed in working on only one film at a time. But now, I am open to doing more than one film at a time. However, if it is a big project, with a big director or a big banner, then I would prefer to do just that one film', he clarifies.
