'Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam' launched
Nov 10, 2008 PVSDirector A. Selvaraghavan has launched his next major project "Idhu Maalai Nerathu Mayakkam" which he has put on hold for a long time. His choice for the lead role is his younger brother Dhanush.
The buzz is Andrea will be pairing with Dhanush.
Originally Selvaraghavan wanted to feature 'Paruthiveeran' Karthi (Surya's brother) and Sandhya in this film. Music director Yuvan Shankar Raja is also out of the team. G.V. Prakash Kumar takes his place now.
The film is produced by Dr. K. Vimalageetha under the banner of R.K. Productions Private Limited. She is the sister of Selvaraghavan and Dhanush.
Selvaraghavan first roped in Dhanush for "Thulluvadho Ilamai" . This very first film by the siblings brought them good rewards. Later they came back with "Kadhal Konden" which had a dream run. With these two hits, Selvaraghavan came to be acclaimed as a master story-teller and Dhanush carved a niche for himself as an actor much sought after by film-makers. Selvaraghavan's last film starring Dhanush was "Pudupettai", a gangster story, which failed to click at the box office.
Selvaraghavan then moved on to make a hit in Telugu "Adavari Mataluku Arthaleverule" (AMA) with Venkatesh and Trisha. Dhanush-starrer "Yaradi Nee Mohini", directed by Selvaraghavan's long-time associate Mithran R. Jawahar, was the Tamil version of AMA.
Dhanush's forthcoming movie is "Padikkathavan" which is nearing completion. Tamannah pairs with Dhanush in this movie directed by Suraj.
Selvaraghavan's "Aayirathil Oruvan" with Karthi and Reema Sen in the lead is eagerly awaited.
