Music maestro Ilayaraja who had composed songs for over 900 films in all the South Indian language and in Hindi has decided to distribute a new film 'Sengaathu Boomiyilae'.

This movie is directed by Rathnakumar, a former assistant to Bharathiraja and had written the scripts for his films like 'Kizhakku Cheemaiyilae', 'Karuthamma' and 'Thamizhselvan'. Rathnakumar says ' When I narrated the script to Ilayaraja sir and requested him to compose the music, he asked me to shoot for 10 days and show him how I had canned the scenes. He also told me based on what I showed him, he would decide whether or not to compose the music for my film. When I returned after 10 days, he was impressed and agreed to compose. After completing the movie, when we again asked him for the background score, he surprised us by expressing his desire to buy the distribution rights of the film''.
