Ilayaraja's 875th film

'Vilayadu Raja Vilayadu' will be the 875th film to have music by 'Isai Gnani' Ilayaraja.

The film will be directed by Jo. Varadarajan, son of Ilayaraja's brother Pavalar Varadarajan.

Jo. Varadarajan has worked with director R.V. Udayakumar.

'Pirappu' Prabhu will play the lead in 'Vilayadu Raja Vilayadu'. Pairing with him is a new face from Kerala. Manorama and Nalini will play important roles. The cast includes a Malayalam hero.

Shaakir of Friends Feature Films will produce the film which will hit the floors next month.

The highlight will be the Natyanjali (dance) festival held at Chidambaram every year will be filmed live.

Dhamu will be the cinematographer.
