Is Amy Jackson Vikram's next?
Jul 10, 2011 PSThe London-based actress might just be the heroine in the next Vikram-Vijay film.
After introducing Amy Jackson to Kollywood with 'Madrassapattinam', director Vijay got an opportunity to work with 'Chiyaan' Vikram in his upcoming flick 'Deiva Thirumagal'. And now, it looks like the filmmaker will cast Amy as Vikram's leading lady in their next collaboration that is likely to kickstart in this November.
"Yes, she might be doing the film. It will be an action thriller," says director Vijay. And he adds, "Amy's performance in 'Madrassapattinam' was noticed by many in the industry. As she's not Indian, her complexion is radically different from the run-of-the-mill heroines. It'll be interesting to see her star in a commercial Tamil film, especially with a big star like Vikram in the lead."
Amy, who is currently busy with Gautham Vasudev Menon in the Hindi remake of his own 'Vinaithaandi Varuvaayaa' and a Malayalam flick titled 'Spanish Masala', is a close friend of director Vijay who gave her an entry into Kollywood. A few months ago, she even made it a point to take a few days off from the shoot of the Hindi version of 'VTV' to attend the audio launch of 'Deiva Thirumagal' in Chennai.
