Is Dhanush playing lead in 'Maareesan'?

It was reported that actor Simbu will play the lead role in director Simbudevan's "Maareesan", but the director denied it and now rumours are rife that Dhanush may be signed up for the period fantasy thriller.

Dhanush is currently busy shooting for "3" and "Mayakkam Enna".

Regarding roping Simbu, Simbudevan had rubbished it saying: "No, it's nothing of the sort and I am busy with the 'Maareesan' pre-production work. We'll start work on the shooting after we make an official announcement about the film to the press." Click the Movie button below for more info:
