Jai's next is 'Vamanan'

Jai, one of the upcoming young heroes in Kollywood, has just signed a new film titled "Vamanan" which is to be directed by Ahmed who has worked as assistant to director Kathir. It will be produced by Dream Valley Corporation.

Model Priya Anand is pairing with Jai in "Vamanan. Lakshmi Rai is another heroine in the film. Urvasi and Santhanam are playing supporting roles.

Arvind Krishnan is the cinematographer.

Jai is currently acting in two films _ "Aval Per Tamizharasi" and "Rakkozhi". He teams up with Navya Nair in "Aval Per Tamizharasi".

A nephew of music director Deva, the young actor, who was introduced in "Bhagavathi", played a plump role in the super-hit "Chennai-2008", which was Venkat Prabhu's maiden directorial venture.

Sasikumar's latest film "Subramaniapuram" which was released last month has shot Jai to fame. In this film his role combines action and romance.

Though he has emerged as the most sought after actor by leading producers, industry sources say that he does not to want to get lost by rushing into commercial masalas and prefers realistic roles.
