Jayaprada to remake Telugu hit 'Ishq' in Tamil

Yesteryear heroine and currently a Member of Parliament Jayapradha will produce Telugu hit ‘Ishq’ to be remade in Tamil.

‘Ishq’ released in February last, won accolades and became a big hit in Andhra Peadesh. Directed by Vikram Kumar (‘Yaavarum Nalam’), the film featured Nitin and Nithya Menon in the lead.

This movie is being remade in Tamil with Jayapradha’s relative Siddarth as the hero. Hansika reprises the role played by Nithya Menon in Telugu.

Rajasekhar, who directed ‘Sathyam’ wields the megaphone for the Tamil remake, which is yet to be titled.

The shooting will begin next month.
