'Kizhakku Kadarkarai Salai' has some catchy numbers

Sep 30, 2006 Sharada Balasubramanian

The songs in the movie are composed by debutant Paul J. He has come up with some nice catchy numbers in the film.

Kancha Penna (Veeramani, Pallavi)

The songs begins with a kick. The beats are peppy and quite similar to some of the beats in A.R Rahman's previous movies. There has been a good use of classical instruments like flutes and mridangam. This along with drums and bass guitar gives the song a great feel.

Kengini Mingini (Grace, Suresh Peter)

Grace is back and sings fabulously. Her voice is very lively and Suresh does a good job too. This is a fast paced song and the singers do their best by singing with a lot of enthusiasm.

Oru Koodi (Donnan Naray, Ganga)

Here comes another romantic number. The song is composed using a guitar and a drum . Donnan Naray's voice is worth listening too and so is the voice of Ganga.

Vada Vangada (Jassie Gift, Veeramani)

Jassie Gift sings a high energy song. The song starts slowly with some percussion instruments of Kerala and then races fast. The song is very catchy and sure to be a hit.

Ajarey Ajarey (Boney Chakravarthy)

This song has a unique mix of Bhangra. The song is excellent with some amazing foot tapping music. A good variety and mix of songs. This song is not worth missing.

Eno Edhil Eno (Jaydev)

This song is a soft melody. There are no instruments in the sing and the emphasis is more on the singer's voice and the lyrics of the song. The youth will love the song!

Welcome to ECR (Swopna, Paul J)

This is the most high energy song in the movie. There is complete reverie with some electric guitars, trumpets, a westernized chorus. Swopna's voice is very suited to the song and the song is worth listening to.
