Lawrence's brand new avatar

Actors today are going that extra mile to showcase their acting prowess by experimenting with different roles and characters. Raghava Lawrence, who started his career as a choreographer and turned actor before turning director, plays a woman in his latest film 'Kaanchana'.

Says Lawrence,''When I told my family that I played a woman character , they were surprised. Even my family couldn't recognize me when they watched portions of the film,''.

''I had to practice a lot to get the mannerisms and behaviour of the woman right'', said the actor who was trained by Shivshankar Master for the role. And he continues,''On seeing my character, my family mistook the woman character to be played by actors Kushboo, Radhika and Bhanupriya. It's a suspense thriller and I am planning to make a sequel too,''.
