M.G. Sreekumar scores music for Tamil film

A noted Malayalam singer M.G. Sreekumar has made his debut in Kollywood as music director and scored music for a Tamil film.


The film titled "Poi Solla Porom" is directed by young director Vijay who comes from the school of Director Priyadarshan. Vijay has worked on "Kreedom" starring Ajith and Trisha.


Sreekumar is not new to Tamil cinema. He has sung "Chinna Chinna Mazhai Thuligal…" set to the melodious tune of A.R. Rahman, in "En Swasa Katre".


The audio of "Poi Solla Porom" was released on Friday (July 11) with a promotional music audio. The music has come out beautifully, Director Vijay says.


A Four Frames and UTV Motion Pictures Production, the film is expected to be launched on Aug 15. Why telling a lie is not a sin if it is for a good cause is the underlying theme of the film which will have lots of situational comedy. It is a fun movie and it will be as realistic as possible, according to Director Vijay.


The cast includes Nasser, Nedumudi, Venu, Mouli, Karthik of "Kanda Naal Mudal" and "Yaaradi Nee Mohini", and Piya


The invitation for the audio launch claimeds the movie would be in 16 different languages shot in as many as 400 locations _ "the biggest production ever".
