'Maatran' in final stages, says Anand

May 24, 2012 PGV

K.V. Anand’s big budget film starring Suriya and Kajal Agarwal is complete except for a song and patchwork.

This is Anand’s second film after Jiiva-starrer ‘Ko’ which was a phenomenal success both in the original Tamil and Telugu version.

Produced by AGS Entertainment, ‘Maatran’ has Harris Jayaraj as the music director. The film has been shot using the latest ‘performance capture technology’. Special effect scenes have been shot in America’s Stan Winston Studio.

It is yet to be decided whether the song picturisation should be done in South Africa or Alaska in the US.

Anand seems particular that the location should be new and should not have been seen in any other films. In June first week, the unit will be leaving for South Africa where Anand will decide the location. If necessary the unit may go to Alaska in the US.

Eros, producers of Rajinikanth’s Kochadaiyan, will release ‘Maatran’ all over Tamil Nadu.

Dubbing work has started and patchwork will be taken up after the shooting of the pending song.

Playback singer Chinmayi sings this song which features heroine Kajal Agarwal. Anand is sure this eclectic song will be a new experience expeience for the viewers.

The audio will be released in August.

The film has been long in the making and viewers are becoming increasingly restless with Anand not coming out with any specific date for it release.
