Maddy's 'Arya' releasing on Aug.10

Madhavan-Bhavana starrer "Arya" is releasing on Aug.10. It was to have hit the screens on July 6, but the release has to be postponed mainly for financial reasons.


The film is a bilingual in Tamil and Telugu directed by Bala Sekakaran. The cast includes Prakash Raj, Devan, Tejashree, Vadivelu and others. Manoj Kumar is the producer. Mani Sharma has scored the music.


Mannargudi Saminathan, V. Jaisakar, K.K. Vijayagopal, Pa Vijay, Raju Sundaram, Thalapathi Dinesh, Chandrasekhar, and Nellai Sundaram are also in Bala Sekakaran's team. The film is presented by Vijay Anandan for Rekha Combines.


Madhavan has been rated high in the industry after his "Thambi" which heralded the young star with the lover-boy image as an action hero.


"Arya" is a story about a medical student who wields his scalpel for a cause unmindful of the serious repercussions. Though based on love, the film lays stress on action and sentiments. His lady-love in "Arya" is a pretty Malayalam actress Bhavana who came into the limelight after her scintillating performance in "Chithiram Pesuthadi".


Prakash Raj appears in a cameo role. Mani Sharma has scored the music which nicely blends with the nuances of the movie Producer Vijay Anandan himself is a director, but has passed on the baton to young Bala Sekakaran who has directed a couple of films with youthful themes. Bala feels proud to direct a movie with an actor of the stature of Madhavan and says he will help Maddy keep his flag flying high.
