Magizh Thirumeni working on next project

Director Magizh Thirumeni looks happy. His film with Vijay Arun, ‘Thadaiyara Thaakka’, released recently has won critical acclaim and also doing well at the BO.

“I am happy with the response to my film, starring Arun Vijay and Mamta Mohandas”

He has started working on the script of his next project, which is not yet titled.

The subject will be new to Tamil cinema, he says. It will be about a suave undercover cop. Like Thadaiyara Thaakka, the next film will also be an action entertainer, but will deal with the lives of upper middle class people.

Magizh says the story is inspired by real-life incidents. He is meeting professional undercover cops and also doing research on the subject.

Who will be playing the lead? He would only say that he has approached big stars and will be able to announce their names after his talks with them conclude. There will be two heroines and “I am looking for someone with a pan-India appeal”.

He will be retaining his technical team _ most of those who worked for Thadaiyara Thaakka. He would also like to work with Arun Vijay again in the future.
