The latest buzz doing the rounds is that Mani Ratnam is all ready with his next film. We've heard that it would be a romantic entertainer set in the coastal region of Tamil Nadu with newcomers in the lead.

The movie will be scripted by writer Jayamohan and shot by cinematographer and fellow director, Rajiv Menon. Set among the fisherfolk of southern Tamilnadu, the movie will be Mani Ratnam's latest venture since 'Raavan'. Moreover, "the film will have a panoramic vision with aerial shots. It is a big film and will require a lot of expertise since it will be shot around the coastal areas and even in the sea," said a source. Menon has worked with Mani earlier on 'Bombay' (1995) and 'Guru' (2007). Mani is keen on finishing the shooting by November, said the source.
