Move to cast Katrina Kaif in 'Kochadaiyan'

Bollywood actress Katrina Kaif is hard pressed for time and yet will try to adjust her dates to be seen with Rajinikanth in 'Kochadaiyan', according to Soudarya Rajinikanth who is the director of the project.

Katrina is busy with her other projects, 'Ed Tha Tiger' with Salman Khan and an untitled film with Shah Rukh Khan. She is said to be trying her best to accommodate 'Kochadaiyan'.

Soundarya is quoted as saying in press reports that, 'I met Katrina Kaif in person some time ago. She was very excited that it is a Rajinikanth film and sounded very upbeat and positive about it. However, we are still in the process of working out her dates as she is busy with her other projects. Once that happens, we'll get her on board.'

K.S. Ravikumar, who will be overseeing the project, said when they narrated the story, Katrina Kaif liked it a lot.

Shooting will commence in Chennai in the second week of February. The final phase of shooting will take place in London. A.R. Rahman will record the tunes by the end of this month. For background music, he will use the services of 130 German musicians.

It is said Rajinikanth will play a king with long hair who is an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva.
