'My new fixation,' reveals Prashanth
Jul 22, 2011 PSActor Prashanth's forthcoming film 'Malayur Mambattiyan' features him in the role of a man who is completely at home in the forest. But his fixation to things that are green is not limited to his films. The hero of 'Mambattiyan' recently made his presence felt at an event that showcased ideas to make the planet a 'greener' place.
The actor, who swears by the mantra of 'go green', strongly advocates the usage of non-plastic alternatives. While speaking about environmental awareness, the actor said, "Young men and women of India have numerous smart ideas and solutions for our planet. Many a time, we lose out on development because these ideas are not channelized in the right manner. With a nation like ours that is so rich in resources -- both human and natural -- we should be at the forefront of creating positive change that could benefit the environment and India as a whole."
Moving on to his current project where he plays a role essayed by his father earlier, Prashanth remarks, "We are in the process of shooting a promotional video for the film. Audiences can expect to see it in about a month's time. It's a momentous occasion for me as the original film is an iconic classic, which was loved by a generation of film-goers. Now, their children will have an opportunity to relive the magic in an all-new avatar. All I can say is that viewers can brace themselves for a rollercoaster ride."
