Nayanthara, Surya patch up

Aug 6, 2008 PVS

Actress Nayanthara has left her bitter "Ghajini" experience behind her and will be teaming up with Surya in a yet-to-be named Tamil film to be directed by K.S. Ravikumar and produced by Udayanidhi Stalin's Red Giant Movies, according to reports.

Udayanidhi is credited with bringing them together after a gap of three years.

Nayanthara fell out with Director A.R. Murugadoss; cinematographer R.D. Rajasekhar and Surya after the release of smashing hit "Ghajini". She was upset that Asin was given prominence in "Ghajini" reducing her (Nayan's) role to that of an item girl.

Nayanthara has since paired with all top Kollywood heroes but not with Surya who is said to have avoided being cast with her.

To the surprise of all, Surya and Nayan met at the Filmfare Awards function in Chennai last month and were seen exchanging pleasantries.

Nayan earlier signed up Linguswamy's film in which she and Surya's brother Karthi would play the lead.

The new Surya-Nayan starrer, said to be an action adventure, is expected to hit the floors by the end of this year and ready for release in May 2009. Music durector A.R, Rahman may be roped in this project. .
