New look S.J. Suryah in 'Thirumagan'
Jul 22, 2006 P.V. SATHISH KUMARDirector-actor S.J. Suryah is to wear a new look with mustache and beard in 'Thirumagan' in which he pairs for the first time with Meera Jasmine.
The director is Ratnakumar, a story and dialogue writer. He had worked as assistant director under Bharathiraaja and S.J. Suryah.
The film's story is set in Tirunelveli. Shooting locales are Cumbum and Theni. Outdoor shooting will be in Mysore.
Besides Meera Jasmine, there are two other heroines - Krithika and Preethi Verma. Meera plays the role of a girl who hails from the family of a mud-pot maker. The film will be different from Surya's earlier ones some which came in for criticism for skin show and double meanings. He even ran into trouble over his film "New" which earned him the sobriquet "Sultan of Sleeze". The new film 'Thirumagan' will portray Suryah in a new light.
The other cast includes Ranjith, Radha Ravi, Ilavarasu, Ganja Karuppu and Vadivukkarasi. Deva will provide the music. Deva and Suryah are coming together again after 'Vali" and "Kushi". There are six songs in 'Thirumagan", all written by Kavignar Vairamuthu.
S. Thanu ("S" Creation) will be producing the film. Some of the films he had produced earlier were 'Kizhakku Seemaile', 'Kakka Kakka', 'Sachin' and 'Thotti Jaya'.
