Nikesha Patel signs her debut film in Tamil

Kannada actress Nikesha Patel, who came to India from Wales four years ago, has bagged dewy good roles opposite top heroes in Kannada, Telugu and Malayalam.


Now she has signed a Tamil film opposite a newcomer Bas. The film to be directed by Ramesh Selvam, is yet- to- be titled. The story revolves around a man who aspires to join the police force. It will have all the commercial ingredients necessary to click at the BO.


Nikesha’s first film was S.J. Suryah’s‘Komaram Puli’ in Telugu opposite Pawan Kalyan. She debuted in Kannada with ‘Narasimha’ starring Ravichandran, which released recently. She will be paired up with superstar Mammooty in ‘Newsmaker’ in Malayalam. Her second Telugu film ‘Om’ with Kalyan Ram is almost over. It is the first 3D film in Telugu.


When asked why she did not choose to enter Tamil cinema with S.J. Suryah’s Tamil remake of ‘Komaram Puli’, Nikesh said that is likely to happen only next year and she could not wait for so long. She wanted to make her debut in Tamil this year itself. The story of the film she has signed on was to her liking and so she has taken it up.
