Online medium future of entertainment: Kashyap

Chennai, Oct 17 (IANS) Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap Wednesday said the future of entertainment is online and filmmakers should embrace it as fast as they can.

"Today, larger chunk of the audience is under the age of 35, who prefer watching movies or listening to songs online. Filmmakers and producers should quickly adapt to the oncoming change and cater to audience via this space," Kashyap said.

He was speaking about screen writing on the second day of Media and Entertainment Business Conclave (MEBC), a Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) initiative.

"My film 'Black Friday' never got wider release, but the audiences still get to watch it because someone had posted the film online," Kashyap said.
