Oviya goes to Kannada

This year's Super-hit movie 'Kalavani' is being remade in Kannada. With this, 'Oviyaa' who done the lead role in the original version, have confirmed to do the same role in Kannada remake too. The film portrays the nativity of 'Thanjavur' with the local flavour got rave reviews. It also got the Best Film Award in the recent Chennai Film Festival.

Daniel Balaji of 'Vettaiyadu Villayadu' fame, is to act as her brother in the Kannada Version. Through this movie, Oviya debuts in Kannada. Says an excited Oviyaa,'' I feel very happy about my role in 'Kalavani' and the recent 'Manmathan Ambu'. Now, aiming big roles in Tamil Cinema for the coming years,''.
