Parthiban to don double identities

We all know that director-actor Parthiban has bagged the lead role in director Bharathiraja's dream project, 'Annakodiyum Kodiveeranum'. The film, a period drama, will have him playing a dual role.

Says an excited Parthiban, "Bharathiraja sir first narrated only my character to me and asked me if I liked it. When I told him I loved the outline, he said that I will be playing the lead in the film. He could have had any of the top heroes in his film if he wanted, but he chose me. It's a once-in-a lifetime-opportunity for me. This is Bharathiraja's dream film; he's been working hard on this script for a long time. I'm glad to be a part of it,".

Talking about his character in the film, Parthiban says, "The film is set in and around Madurai and I play a dual role in the film. I will have two different get-ups in it and I will soon start work on the lingo,". Interestingly, Parthiban has assisted K Bhagyaraj during his earlier days, who in turn, was an associate of Bharathiraja.

Meanwhile, Parvathy of 'Poo' fame will be playing one of the female leads in the film, which will go on floors on October 31.
