Parthipen's remake of 'Puthiya Pathai' to kick start shortly

‘Puthiya Patha’ was Parthipen’s memorable first film as actor and director. Released 22 years ago, the film gave him a big break and also fetched him a national award. It had indeed changed his course of life. He married Seetha who romanced him in this film.

Recently he had announced that he would remake ‘Puthiya Pathai’ reprising his role in the remake, tentatively titled ‘Meendum Puthiya Pathai’.

He is all set to start shooting of the film later this month. He has already started work on this project. He had said he would be making subtle changes in the screenplay to suit the tastes of the younger generation. It is the first time that a hero who acted in his own film would be reprising his role in the remake.

Parthipen has signed his third Malayalam film titled 'Veerakkal Daivangal' directed by Dr. Mahesh Kidangil. It is also going on floors this month. He plays Rama Paiyar in this period flick touted as a thriller.

He has already made a foray into Mollywood with debuting in ‘Narendran Makan Jayakanthan’ way back in 2001. He did his next film in Malayalam ‘Melvilasan’ 10 years later. Click the Movie button below for more info:
