Pasupathy is not a bad guy
Oct 9, 2011 PGVPasupathy's two-year wait has paid off and has successfully broken out of the mould of playing the bad guy. He has worked hard to shrug off the villain image in Vasantha Balan's 'Aravaan'. The same director has earlier cast Pasupathy in 'Veyil' in which the actor played a complex and emotional role proving that he is a versatile actor. 'Aravaan' has helped him come out of the rut.'Virumandi' was another film to be remembered for his variety.
'Aravaan' is ready and set to hit the screens soon. The film is an 18th century action drama with Pasupathy, Adi and Bharath playing cameo. Though Pasupathy's is not a lead role, he plays a character, which is full of verve and vitality, different from the stereotyped bad guy. He dons the role of Komodi, the warrior head of a village. He and most of other cast wear no upper clothes. Pasupathy has a beard and a hairstyle of the period.
According to Pasupathy, he could not do any other film for over the last two years to train and get into shape for 'Aravaan'. 'I feel happy doing something different,' he says.
