Poornima to act as on-screen mother

Poornima Bhagyaraj will soon be seen on big screen after a gap of 28 years. She has signed the film ‘Aadalal Kadhal Seiveer’ written and directed by Suseendran and produced by Thai Saravanan for Nallu Studios.


'Pokkiri’ Ramesh Babu’s son Santosh is being introduced as hero in the film. Manisha Yadav is the heroine.


Yuvan Shankar Raja is the composer. Surya is the cinematographer. Songs are by Vaali and Yugabharathi.


Talking to mediapersons, Poornima Bhagyaraj said she will be seen on big screen after a gap of 28 years. She has acted in 70 films in Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam. She featured Superstar Rajinikanth in ‘Thanga Magan’. This film, ‘Vidhi’ and ‘Darling Darling’ shot her to fame. Her last film was ‘Unga Veettu Pillai’ with Prabhu which was released in 1984. She quit acting after her marriage with Director Bhagyaraj.


Poornima said Director Suseendran has approached her and asked her to act as the mother to the hero (Santosh) in his film. Bhagaraj and son Shantanu also wanted her to act again and she agreed, the actress added.
