Prakash Raj takes one year to team up with Vincent Selva

Aug 17, 2012 PGV

Has any director waited for more than a year to rope in an actor? Yes, it is director Vincent Selva who is now making ‘Thulli Vilayadu’.

He wanted to have Prakash Raj as the villain in the film. But the actor had been too busy to give dates immediately when approached almost one year ago. Vincent postponed the project till Prakash Raj was available.

‘Thulli Vilayadu’ would be thrilling, yet funny. Vincent would adopt the Hitchcock format.

Yuvaraj has been finalized, as hero and ‘Vennila Kabaddi Kuzhu’ Suri and Chandrayan are his friends. Deepthi, who played a college girl in ‘Engeyum Eppodum’ is the heroine. The cast includes Jayaprakash, Singamuthu, Supergood Lakshman, Madurai Sujatha and Madanbab.

Both Vincent and producer Govindaraj wanted none else but Prakash Raj to be roped in for the role of villain. Prakash Raj gave his consent without even bothering to listen to the script. “He has such confidence in us. But they had to wait for more than a year for him to start working on the film. It was worth waiting”, Vincent says.

Srikanth Deva is the music director. Director Mysskin has lent his voice to one of the songs ‘Ammadi', 'Aathadi', 'Evar Vaalilla Kaathadi'. This number comes while introducing Yuvaraj, Suri and Chandrayan . The song has been filmed in Dindigul.

Vincent Selva’s earlier films ‘Priyamudan’ and ‘Youth’ starring Vijay shot him to fame. His other films were ‘Vaattaakudi’, Eranyan’, ‘Jithan’ and ‘Perumal’. Click the Movie button below for more info:
