Pretty Richa catapulted to Bollywood

Actress Richa Gangopadhyay, who has made her debut in 'Osthe' and 'Mayakkam Enna', is all set to become a Bollywood star. Susi Ganesan has signed her up for his Hindi remake of his superhit 'Thiruttu Payale'.

Both her debutTamil films are yet to be released, but Susi Ganesh did not wait till their release to have her signed up for his first Hindi project which will be launched soon.

'Thiruttu Payale' featured Jeevan, Sonia Aggarwal and Malavika in lead roles. Richa will be playing the Sonia role in the Hindi remake titled 'Shortcut to Romeo'. It will have Neil Nitin Mukesh and Ameesha Patel in the roles played by Jeevan and Malavika.

According to a source, director Susi Ganesan auditioned more than 120 girls for the role but was not impressed with any of them. When he was browsing on the Internet he came across Richa's stills. At first he thought Richa was an up and coming actress in Bollywood and never knew that she had already debuted in Tamil with 'Osthe' and 'Mayakkam Enna'. Susi immediately decided to cast her in the role because of her pretty looks.

Susi himself is producing the film.
