
Radha Mohan's latest is 'Gauravam'
Jun 8, 2012 PGVThe lastest film being directed by Radha Mohan is titled ‘Gauravam’. He has to his credit four films _’Azhagiya Theeye’, ‘Mozhi’, ‘Abhiyun Nanum’ and ‘Payanam’.
He says as soon as he completed writing the story the title that struck him is ‘Gauravam’. One of Sivaji Ganesan’s films was titled ‘Gauvaram’ which was released in 1972 and it was a big success. He decided to have the same title for his film too as it sounded appropriate for the subject.
Prakash Raj’s Duet Movies is producing the film which is being made simultaneously in Tamil and Telugu.
Telugu actor Allu Arjun’s brother Sirish is being introduced as hero. Playing opposite him is Yamini Gautham, who acted in the Hindi film ‘Vicky Donor’.
‘Gauravam’ is her first film down south. Prakash Raj plays Zamindar. Nasser and Kumaravel do important characters. Thaman is the music director. Piritha is the cinematographer. Viji has written the dialogue.
Radha Mohan says the four films he has directed so far are urban-centric and ‘Gauravam’ is a village subject.
