Rajini meets Kamal at 'Dasavatharam' shooting

'The Boss' Rajinikanth called on Kamal Haasan during the shooting of "Dasavatharam' in the Chennai Film City on July 16. They spend time together for 30 minutes.

Kamal plays US President George W. Bush, one of the ten characters the actor depicts in "Dasavatharam', which is directed by K. S. Ravikumar and produced by Oscar Films V. Ravichandran.

A spectacular set recreating the White House in Washington has been erected at the Film City for filming a sequence featuring Kamal as President George Bush. The shooting of this sequence began on July 16.

Kamal reached the spot around 3 a.m. and make-up men specially flown in from abroad, worked on Kamal for five hours and Kamal came out from the make-up room looking as George Bush at 9 am and walked straight to the White House set.

Rajini, who came to know about this, arrived at the Film City at 11 am as the shooting was in progress. He was aghast when he had a look at the White House set. He went in and embraced 'George Bush' (Kamal). Their meeting in private lasted 30 minutes.

US Consul General David Hopper also visited the White House set during the day and patted the crew.
