Rajiv Menon to direct film on MS
Jun 13, 2012 PGVRenowned cinematographer Rajiv Menon is preparing to direct a film on Carnatic music legend Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbulakshmi. Sources in his office confirmed this.
Rajiv currenly handles the camera for director Mani Ratnam’s ‘Kadal’ and Rajinikanth’s ‘Kochadaiyan’. Both these films are being made using the performance capturing technology.
Sources say Rajiv will begin work on the MS project only after completing these films.
Pre-production work on the film on MS has already begun and Rajiv Menon has taken on board Tamil writer E Ra Murukan, who wrote the dialogues for Kamal’s ‘Unnai Pol Oruvan’, for the project.
The last film he directed was ‘Kandukondain Kandkondain’ in Tamil which released in 2000.
