SAC replaces Vikram Prabhu, Karthika

Director S.A. Chandrasekhar (SAC) has replaced Vikram Prabhu and Karthika with debutant Arjun and Thananya in his remake of ‘Sattam Oru Iruttarai’.

Thananya has acted in Rajamohan’s ‘Kunguma Poovum Konjum Puravum’. She will be pairing up with new comer Arjun in ‘Sattam Oru Iruttarai’. The shooting is said to have commenced in a college in Bangalore.

The project had run into trouble after its launch. The first schedule was held in Pondicherry. Then there was talk that Vikram Prabhu was not happy with SAC directing the film as a proxy and had second thoughts about doing the film. It looked inevitable that Karthika would also opt out if Vikram Prabhu walked out.

Sources said Vikram lost interest in the project when it was no longer produced by Vijay and SAC himself would direct the film. SAC felt that Vikram was not bestirring himself and so he should do rehearsals before the second schedule. Though Vikram had given dates for the second schedule, he did not turn up. Vikram reportedly told mediators that he would complete the project after September. SAC could not wait for so long and as the project was already delayed, he decided to replace Vikram Prabhu and Karthika.
